Here are some great inexpensive tweaks to get the best out of your speakers or battery BAM from the desk of Bobby Palkovic!

Battery Upgrade for all Battery Based BAMs

All battery BAMs and earlier super BAMs were supplied with 170 mah (milli-amp-hour) 9.6v cells in their power supply. In later production pieces and upgraded units, 170 and 200 mah cells were used. In current production of the super bam, 230 mah 9.6v cells are used and their higher potential will improve the sound in virtually every manner. Most noticeable is the wider bandwidth, wider/deeper stage, better focus, improved micro and macro dynamics and a fuller more fleshed out/complete sound. Call Merlin for replacement instructions. Lead Free Bi-Wire Jumpers

For those of you using the supplied Merlin jumpers with a single speaker wire, we suggest replacing the leaded jumpers with a lead free version. The presentation will be less thin, more continuous and complete sounding.  You will also notice a wider, deeper and more focused sound stage with a more "right" and "there" quality. Cost, $48 including freight and handling.

Lead Free Power Cord for Super BAM Power Supply

RoHS compliant or lead free power cords are available for the super bam. This will improve the AC supply's sound making it again, more continuous, more complete, fuller, focused and expansive sounding. Cost, $25 including freight and handling.
