Comments from the
Danish 2004 HiFi Expo . . . From the Website www.faktiskt.de At the second floor we found all the small rooms. Yes these little 10-20 square meter rooms which are supposed to sound terrible and be impossible to get into. Not in this case, We started in the Merlin room, which sounded incredible good, absolutely nothing wrong with the acoustics. Maybe even better than home? It sounded organic, airy with weight, character all the way, complete..Mmm. Very nice. Far from what I normally call an analytical sound. This is one of the best rooms at the entire show . . . . . . From the Danish magazine High Fidelity, Issue 3, by Jan Nielsen Best sound? A real winner of the best sound of the show is hard to pick, but the places where the acoustics were treated properly, in the small rooms, were generally best. Here we are thinking primarily of StudioSound.dk, which with help from their Echo Busters, made the Merlin speakers reproduce both deep and clean. On the other hand, the accompanying equipment from Joule Electra and the Orpheus CD player, were not exactly in the wallet friendly division. . . .
