Merlin VSM-MM two driver 2- way floor standing dynamic: $7,700. I remember this speaker from its baby beginnings. Bobby was making a move from his large, many driver designs, to smaller, simpler, more refined designs. Never to do anything half way, Bobby set out to make the World's Best 2-way. Using the best tweeter he could obtain from Dynaudio, and a new woofer from Scanspeak that has since become the benchmark for the industry, Bobby set out to make a no compromise speaker that had no definable flaws. There is no speaker at any price which brings together better parts in such a focused and complete design. Take a good look at Bobby's crossover some time... it's the Patek Philippe of filter designs.
